Summer Internship Program
During the first two years of the Industrial Technology program's existence the manufacturing classes built and repaired many items for the school district. This activity of building and maintaining grew into the summer program. Usually during the month of March students apply for a position on the summer work crew. The students interview with the Industrial Technology teacher and 4 to 5 students are hired to work in the summer.
During the same school year the principle and superintendent are compiling a list of items to be built or repaired. Materials are ordered in May and at the end of the school year the work begins.
The students have built many items over the past summers such as: cabinets, shelf systems, library furniture, and office furniture.
